Product Warranty Information
TITAN™ FUEL TANK LIMITED WARRANTY
SUPERTANKS, LLC, doing business as TITAN FUEL TANKS, hereby states:
(1) THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATIONS, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR USE, AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS FOR LIABILITIES ON THE PART OF TITAN FUEL TANKS. WE NEITHER / ASSUME, NOR AUTHORIZE ANY OTHER PERSON TO ASSUME FOR US, ANY OTHER LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE SALES OF THE TITAN FUEL TANK.
(2) This warranty does not extend to consequential damages including, but not limited to: loss of use of the warranted product, loss of use of vehicle, loss of time, inconvenience, transportation expenses, towing expenses, travel, lodging, telephone and fuel, loss or damage to personal property or loss of revenue.
(3) This warranty shall not apply to damage sustained through collision or other action not consistent with the normal and customary use of the vehicle and/or the TITAN FUEL TANK (hereinafter, “the tank”) and shall cease to apply upon the removal, repair or alteration of the tank by anyone other than an authorized representative of TITAN FUEL TANKS.
(4) This warranty shall not apply to damage sustained to the tank as a result of repairs made to the vehicle.
(5) This warranty is void if purchaser introduces into the tank a fuel or fuel blend which is other than that specified and approved by the tank’s manufacturer.
(6) This warranty is void if purchaser installs, or attempts to install, the tank in any vehicle make, model, or type other than specified and approved by the tank’s manufacturer.
(7) Any vehicle seller which permits the installation of a tank will not be liable for any other expense, loss or damage, including but not limited to incidental or consequential damages, arising from the use or failure of the tank.
TITAN FUEL TANKS hereby warrants:
(A) THE FOLLOWING WARRANTY SHALL APPLY TO ALL TANKS WHICH ARE PROPERLY REGISTERED WITH TITAN FUEL TANKS. Unregistered tanks will not be covered by the warranty. Original purchaser must fully complete and return warranty registration, or register at TITAN FUEL TANKS’ website on line within sixty (60) days of receipt of the merchandise. The “original purchaser” shall be the first purchaser of the tank who purchases for his or her own use in a particular vehicle.
(B) The tank, as purchased, is free from defects in materials and workmanship.
(C) This warranty is in effect for five (5)
years from the date of purchase by the original purchaser, or 50,000 miles whichever is shorter. The “original purchaser” shall be as defined in paragraph (A).
(D) This warranty is made only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. All claims arising under this warranty must be made by the original purchaser. The “original purchaser” shall be as defined in paragraph (A).
(E) This warranty is in effect only in the United States of America and Canada.
(F) Remedies under this warranty are limited to the replacement of any defective tank or defective component.
(G) If a part must be replaced under warranty, TITAN FUEL TANKS will furnish the replacement tank or component on an exchange basis.
(H) Shipping will be paid by the “original purchaser”. TITAN FUEL TANKS will not be liable for any damage that occurs to the defective tank or defective component during shipping. The “original purchaser” shall be as defined in paragraph (A).
(I) TITAN FUEL TANKS reserves the right to examine the claimed defect in the field or upon return of the tank or component to TITAN FUEL TANKS’ facility with all shipping charges being prepaid by the original purchaser. The “original purchaser” shall be as defined in paragraph (A).
(J) Warranty on replacement tanks or components shall be for the unexpired term of the original warranty.
Returned Goods Policy
No returned merchandise will be accepted, without prior, written consent of the management of Titan Fuel Tanks. Any merchandise which may be returned as a result of a warranty issue shall not be subject to this policy but shall be handled as per Titan’s published warranty policy.
Any merchandise that is not returned under the provisions of the warranty policy shall be subject to the following:
- Restocking charge, equal to 20% of the purchase price.
- Customer returning merchandise will be responsible for pre-paid freight to a location specified by Titan.
- Any item which has been installed or had fuel introduced into it cannot be returned.
- Merchandise condition must be pristine. Merchandise cost will not be credited back to customer until merchandise is returned to, and inspected by Titan Fuel Tanks. If the condition of the merchandise is not sufficient no credit will be granted.
